Thursday's Raid this week.
#1
So here's the deal. Thursday night raids ARE CA raids. They're populated first by CA members and understandably so. What Darian is afraid of is 8 people from Lurkers waiting for a group that might not happen because we have too many bodies. A reasonable fear.

However, with a little organization, we can nip this in the bud.

Youz guyz have lots of players that need to go there. What might make sense is for Lurkers on SR to post who needs to/wants to go, and I can cross reference with CA to see if we can man 2 groups. Just going over numbers, if we had a big turnout, we could reasonably WELL MAN these parties. Meaning we'd have everything we could dream of. Healing, tanks, dps, cc . . . everything. The other thing to keep in mind? There's maybe 5 or 6 people who need blood. As the general drops MAX of 4, if we seperate those people into 2 groups, better chance of everyone who needs it getting it.

See? See? We is brilliant!

So please let me know who's around for this Thursday? Even if you've got blood, helping out is appreciated, and PLEASE RSVP. If you know someone in game who doesn't check the forums, please tell them to haul on over here and give us a head's up. Darian, Tal, and I are working hard to try and get everyone equipped for that bad-ass dragon Onyxia.

Thanks, guys.

Oh, and without further ado.

Grizelle is in for Thursday, and does not need blood.

One down, 20 something to go.

I'm in and don't need blood. Exclude me first if Lurker spots run out - people who need blood should go before people who don't.

Ditto. Just make sure there's at least one skinner there :P
Trade yourself in for the perfect one. No one needs to know that you feel you've been ruined!

What I'm hoping is that we CAN man the 2 groups. Makes life a lot easier. So plan on going, even if you've got blood.

Littledude should be at the point of needing the blood then also. But I really can't justify staying on much after 11pm server time considering I will need to be at work by 6am server time the next day. What is the start time of this raid (entering the instance not waiting on others to run across the world)? And about how long to get to the point of the where the blood drops?

Unfortunately, the blood drop is at the very end of the instance.

Fortunately, start time is expected to be no later than 8:30, and our usual time for running UBRS is just a little over 2 hours. (Skan was in a group ...Sunday?... that got done in under two.)

SabraMage would very much like to be included and needs the blood. I have cleared my schedule for Thursday and am keeping my fingers crossed.

Ruvanal didn't mention that Littledude is a lv 60 mage, so I will, since I did not notice him on Pysbie's List at ca.com.

I blame Tal.

Ruv, I forgot to ask you what step LD is on. If he's on Jail Break!, we've got a slew of people intending to knock that out this week, and almost as many people standing by to help out.

LD has finished Masquerade and needs to do the Winterspring step next.

Another option is that if we can't get two groups for UBRS, those that need blood go in one group and the remainder goes on a run to some place like Scholo, Strat, or even runs LBRS since we still need to get more people keyed for UBRS. Right now I think you're it for having a key between CA and Lurkers. So, if we can't get two groups of 15, but instead can get 15 and 10, might as well set the non-blood needers into another instance.

Wow, this is really hard to reply to. Do I want to take Lochnar to UBRS - no. Do I need to take Lochnar to UBRS - yes. He needs blood to get the punt heard round the world. I want to be able to take him in to visit Onyxia. I heard she enjoys sitting down for a nice cup of tea, when she isn't being bothered by all the groups of tough guy wanabees who see fit to bother a mom that just wants to raise her whelps to be good little dragons. Is the Emberseer(?) along the way also?

Anyway, if a mage slot is open, pencil Lochnar in with the knowledge that he is a n00b on the run and hopes that it will not be assumed he knows what is coming and what needs to be done about it. (gibberish for walk me through it please)

Time is 8:30 server? It doesn't seem a firm time has been posted yet.

Actually, it isn't the blood quest that gets you punted. It's the Awbee sidequest. You can get and do blood without getting punted if you don't talk to Awbee. But since almost everyone does as she's in UBRS on the way up, everyone ends up getting punted.

Aleri, Littledude, and Gnolack all got their escorts done and all got the quest to get the blood.

Oh and Lochnar I'm a noob too. I just learned how to get into Blackrock Spire today but I still haven't set foot in there yet. :)

Loch, don't even think about worrying about newbishness. We've usually got at least one or two people who don't know the ropes yet -- part of having people edging up the ranks. We make a point of explaining stuff as we go. :)

Though it's always a good idea to get on Teamspeak prior to the run, even if you don't have a microphone. It's a lot easier to explain when exhaustive typing isn't required.

Yes, I finally installed Teamspeak (and got it to work - a previous attempt failed) when we went into MC. The problem I had with it is that there was, at times, different info coming over teamspeak than what was being typed in chat. I wasn't on microphone only because I don't have a noise canceling one and I wouldn't want to be broadcasting the sound of my pr0n playing in the background. ;) I said then, and still think it is true, the only people talking over the channel should be the raid leader(s) with necessary responses typed. Is that how it is usually done or is it a jumble as everyone speaks at once?
