One of the last frames of the movie is a shot of some art with a "lizard-man", which makes me think it is dranei and not pandaren that is the alliance race. Also I've read speculation that pandaren are out so as not to offend the chinese (i.e. half the population killing pandas).
As for the video itself, by Blizzard standards it is quite mediocre if you ask me. The art is nice, but most of the live action stuff looked rushed. And no in-game shots of anything past the portal is somewhat surprising.
