News reports today, and what I saw on CNN at lunch mere minutes from the time of impact, indicate that a private pilot (allegedly NY Yankees pitcher Corey Liddle) flew into an apartment building on east 72d street, Manhattan, NY.

NORAD scrambled fighters. President was notified. News all over the place with 'is it a terrorist attack' in the first few minutes as events and first reports came in. Disinformation flew fast and furious.

Osama wins again, and he didn't even have to do anything. The first reaction was . . . if one were to believe the breathless reporters . . . panic.

From what I saw on TV, NYFD seemed to be getting on with it and trying to fight a 4 alarm blaze. Good on 'em.

First time I heard the news, folks were pretty sure it wasn't a terrorist attack— just an accident.

As the story broke, the trailers and words from CNN's hype wench du jour included "two anti terror task forces" and "terrorist" and "attack" were repeated frequently. Within an hour, you saw a lot less of that as facts became more available, and an eyewitness, a private pilot, shared what he had seen of the plane, its eratic movenements, and the time of impact.

Here in a local Congressional race there is a seemingly radical islamic candidate with funding from CAIR, and a past history with Nation of Islam, and Louis Farrakan. The Democratic rag is going intentionally, knowingly slandering the Republican while shielding and praising the Islamic guy. I can only believe this is a business decision to get the most outrageous candidate elected in order to sell the most newspapers. I'm glad it's not on my ballot since I don't like the Democrat, Republican, or Independant candidate.

The Nation of Islam here in America are terrible, probably one of the worst and most damaging sects of Islam in the world... They had X totally snowed for the longest time, and had him out peddling their petty hate and black supremacy. They hijacked a faith and used it to enslave their own people. SICKENING what they did. And women kept tripping and falling and landing on Elijah's wrinkly old dick. Ugh, I hate those people. Poor X went to Africa and saw white Muslims, it blew his mind. And when he came back home and called them all liars and hate mongers, the #$%& flew. Oh boy, it was bad. Elijah (AND Farrakan too) claim that the serpent in the garden of Eden was actually a white devil, come to deceive and drive a wedge between man and God, and that the White man was actually the progeny of the devil. White, pale, and sickly with sin. X tried to make up for all the falsehoods he taught... Tried to take back everything he said. Tried putting it right. Started a war. Started talking about how even the white people were slaves too, slaves to the powers that be, whites and blacks both were slaves in this country, and that racism was there to keep them apart, keep them from working together, to rise up and fight the powers that be. CIA started getting involved in his business from that point on... And somebody killed that poor fella.

And he was right too.

Apparently he is already a member of the Minnesota State Legislature, elected to a 2nd term in 2002.

I think you are correct. He is running for US congressional MN 5th district seat.

Our local legislature is quite the salad bowl, and they can't agree on anything either. There is a very strong third party movement in MN because the Democrats are soooo far left/progressive they make Nancy Pelosi look as conservative as Strom Thurmond, and Republicans are mostly the anti-abortion/prayer in school party. For example, ex-Senator Paul Wellstone was considered a moderate centrist in Minnesota. The midwest is that area of the nation that was a base for the communist workers party, and the socialist workers party in the 1920's. So it seems that the majority here, in desperation for some semblence of normality, tend to seek moderate politicians of any stature to make them either a Senator, or Governor. The DFL seem to have such a broad tent that it includes greens, progressives, anarchists, Hamas, socialists, communists, labor unions and etc, with the main plank being that they all believe in the "fair" redistribution of wealth.

I had read that it was deep underground, and that it was either really tiny, or a dud. Most likely a dud, since trying to get a small nuclear pile fissile is harder (read critical mass). So they did probably conduct a nuclear test, but it turns out that NK has the worst nuclear scientists in the history of weapons testing. A handy set back for anyone interested in nuclear non-proliferation, since now the world can intervene to help prevent subsequent progress toward folly.

Yes he was. He was also very, very close friends with X. And when X went to Mecca and said that had Elijah had lied to them, that he had seen white Muslims, Ali said some stupid stuff... I am not sure how this could have happened in the modern age, could a man really be that isolated that he honestly believes that there could have been no white folks circling Mecca? Could a man honestly not know, not see in a news paper, tv, etc, that Muslims were multi-coloured?

Very sad all that. RFK and JFK were profoundly affected by the deaths of those four little girls that day. It stopped being about politics and whether or not something would get votes or not, and started to be about what was morally right. The civil rights bills, the voting, it is interesting to see how they changed. RFK in particular really had his eyes opened, and saw there was something horribly wrong with America.

RFK made enemies with Hoover... He gave Hoover a severe dressing down. Belittled him. Threated to fire him after pulling rank on him. Hoover was busy trying to character assassinate King. Hoover had tapes made and spliced together to make it sound like King was having an affair. Tried to make it look like King was an infiltrator for the Red Communists. So much bad stuff going down. No, it's very easy to get a critical mass (if it took only a critical mass, reactors everywhere would be detonating on their own accord). The problem is critical density. You will get a fizzle (a weak detonation) if you don't reach the critical density or your shaped charges do not compress the pit properly.

And truth to be told, the US government is more worried about the items that are required to precisely fire the shaped charges than the actual weapons grade material. If you have the ability to get those devices, you can make far more power weapons, be they conventional or WMD.
