Quote:Not from my experience. When I was in high school, between 16 and 18 I needed 10 hours of sleep or I didn't operate well the next day. In college, I needed 8 to 9 hours to function properly. Now, at 36, I get by just fine with between 6 and 7 hours of sleep, if I get more than 7 hours I end up not being able to function well either. If I keep up this path, by the time I'm 60 I'll be to Picaso's level of sleep need (the time it takes a spoon to drop from my hand to the floor while sitting in a chair :P).
That's funny, I'm the opposite. Maybe I'm just weird that way, then again that wouldn't be the first way I'm weird. =) I could get by with 5 or less hours in high school, now I'm a zombie if I don't get 7. Although I would agree that I think I'm starting to reprogram my body to need less sleep. Not sure yet if that's a bad thing or not.
