About the elitism of the Lurker Lounge

I find it really funny that you at the Lurker Lounge would want to keep your elitism. You think you are above other sites. You actively claim that you are above the cesspool that is the rest of the Internet and work actively to maintain these standards. The general policy of Lurkers is to work hard to exclude people who do not conform to your lofty standards.

You know, I can see a gap between the purpose of this site and the standards that you claim to uphold.

It's obvious that you are hypocritcal, you claim yourself to be elitist while the truth is...



You aren't elitist enough.

Seriously, what the hell is this? Have you people seen a truly elitist forum? A real elitist forum would not tolerate dissent from n00bs. I have not seen a post here where a new member was properly hazed and flamed for no God damned reason except that he or she is new.

The regulars of a truly elitist forum would keep their members in line. If anyone voiced a diffrent opinion from the majority, they would immediately be banned. Obviously the community and the moderation here are too weak-willed to truly assert their rightful place in the forum. Just take the case of Abramelin. How long did it take this troll to be banned? If we were at a truly elitist forum, he would have been banned in three seconds after he made his first dissenting post and ninjas would have him dead by the next sunrise. Yes, ninjas, not some sissy hitmen. Damn, you people and your open mindedness disgust me!

And what's up with "A square peg trying to fit into a round hole?" How can you concede to him that he could be on the same level with you? He's not a peg at all, just some lowly thumbtack! And let's not even go into the fact that things are rarely perfectly circular or square. At least you could said, "A retangular peg trying to fit into a eliptical hole." Now that I think about it, what's up with the sexual innuendo? Shame on you!

Wasn't the goal of this website designed to be above the rest of the Internet cesspool you despise so much? Hell, ask some random dude on the battle.net forum. He would agree with me that the Lounge tries to be elitist. Elitism is perfectly acceptable for sites devoted to video games. We are here to show the rest of the world that we are better then them.



I am aware that some of you don't want to hear this and you don't want to change your humble/down-to earth ways.

If you want to ban/flame/insult me, that is perfectly fine. I won't care. And yes, I don't care even though I cared enough to post that I don't care. And yes, I don't care that I just posted the last two sentences about caring. If you do ban me I will find other forums that will suit my tastes. Such as here

I hope the Lounge will change its ways, so that it will become more open for self-righteous pricks like me.
