On Sunday, March 7th 2004, the fifth season of "The Sopranos" will air its first episode of season 5. I'm so giddy I can't controll myself. It's not often a show is both incredibly cool and stupidly hilarious. I for one can't wait to see how the story escalates; what'll happen between Tony and Carm, and more importantly, I hope they haven't changed Silvio's hair:
I also can't wait to see what Steve Buscemi can bring to the show. I know he's directed a few episodes in the past, and I hope he'll continue his success from the other side of the camera.
The language, the lingo, the linguini, it'll all be back come Sunday, so set your watches and tune in. It'll be a kick!

Dark humour.
Raw violence.
Fantastic writing (and acting!)
Lots and lots of swearing that sounds really cool. (No, really!) :)

I don't know. Someone more able-minded than me needs to tell you (and me) why this is one of the best series on television. I just can't describe it. It offers a unique perspective of organised crime, how it break families apart, and how it, for better or worse, affects the people involved.

A New yawk Italian American Gothic cult series with good writing.
Me, I got tired of criminals as "protagonists" after Good Fellas, but some folks like that genre.
Better than Sitcoms at the least.

that nutjob Garland Greene in Con-Air? The guy who was singing "He's got the Whole World in his Hand" as the plane crashed? That was one funny role. :lol: If I ever become a murderous psycho, I wanna be like that! :rolleyes:

Weee
The first episode was very satisfying. Although they introduced Buscemi's character, we didn't get to see him in action, but I suppose we will in the coming months.
Ahh this episode had it all:
* Violence (Chris' assault on the waiter + Paulie's execution)
* Humour (the whole Chris/Paulie-argument)
* Nudity (We finally got to see Dr. Melfie naked. Weee! :)) (I'm not normally this shallow, but she's a very attractive woman.)
Anthony on the porch with a cigar and an ak47 was a tad over-the-top for me personally, but I loved the conversations he had with Carmella.
Jamie-Lynn got married, apparently. All the best to her! (Although I don't care for Meadow's taste in music.) Speaking of music; I want to see Anthony Junior's drumming progress into playing, not only 16th-notes, but also triplets and 32th-notes.. and he needs to work on his bass. The beat he kept playing this episode wasn't very inspiring.
