Mods on crafted items?
#1
So, I cubed a blood ring the other day, and got these stats:

+27 AR
1-6 fire dam
6% mana leech
10% life leech
+5 strength
+20 life

I've heard something about being able to get dual leech on rares in 1.10, but how did I wind up with 10% life leech? My completely uneducated guess is that D2 rolled the max leech for blood, and then rolled a magic mod that stacked with it. Is that what happened?

(Oh, and first post. *waves* Hi all! :D)

Blood rings get 1-3% life steal.

Rare/crafted rings can get the following life/mana steal affixes:
of the Leech (3-4% life)
of the Locus (5-6% life)
of the Lamprey (7-8% life)
of the Bat (2-3% mana)
of the Wraith (4-5% mana)
of the Vampire (6% mana)

(Depending on the alvl of the item, not all may be possible).

So the 6% mana steal comes from the "of the Vampire" suffix. The 10% life steal is either 2% from the craft and 8% from the "of the Lamprey" suffix or 3% from the craft and 7% from the "of the Lamprey" recipe. If both were perfect, it'd be 11%.

Nice craft! Even without the resists if you decide to trade that (I wouldn't) don't let it go cheap... unless it's to me. :D
