I see items with % dr and with a dr number
I see items with % absorb and with an absorb number what are the differences? Dave

If it's a straight number, it's a straight reduction (i.e. damage reduced by 5 reduces by 5 points any physical damage you receive). Percentage damage reduced, which is capped at 50%, reduces the physical damage you receive by a percentage.
Absorb works in the same general way, though there are some minor points concerning the order in which resists, absorb, and damage received are dealt which I can't remember offhand. Also, elemental absorb is capped at 40%. gekko
