Caught
this article on the way home today on NPR, and the song caught in my head. The news from Warez and further south has been constant and dire throughout the past year, and it seemed to me that The Krayola's vocalized it in a way that gave me echoes of "One Tin Soldier" by Coven and needless to say, moved me. Hope you enjoy it as well;
Cheers,

Thank you
And you may call it righteousness
When civility survives,
But I've had dinner with the Devil and
I know nice from right.

Neat. I've long been a fan of Corrido. Once wrote a paper on the folk myth of Pancho Villa, which relied heavily on the Corridos written about him. Brutality is nothing new for that genre, but it's good to hear people are actually keeping up the tradition. They compare it to the blues, and that's a pretty good comparison.
