"Look! How wonderful nature is!"
... says Professor Abronsius (actor Jack MacGowran) to his assistant Alfred (actor and director Roman Polanski), who is carrying the frozen professor over the roofs of Count Krolok's castle in snowy Transsylvania. This scene is from Polanski's wonderful, kafka-esque horror comedy classic "The Fearless Vampire Killers" from 1966.

Bah humbug!
All alone, or in twos,
The ones who really love you
Walk up and down outside the wall.
Some hand in hand
And some gathered together in bands.
The bleeding hearts and artists
Make their stand.
And when they've given you their all
Some stagger and fall, after all it's not easy
Banging your heart against some mad buggers wall.
"Isn't this where...."

That is just cute. For Christmas, I want one of those in toy form for my desk (complete with the bobbing) and also a plush murloc, with sound and everything. :D

I remember the songs of Christmas from yesteryear, to include such hits as Spike Jones singing . . .
"All I want for Christmas is an S O J
An S O J
An S O J
If 'n I could only have an S O J
I could wish you "Uber Christmas!"
Now, folks just want a runeword, Christmas Spirit. :P

Christmas is over and The Week of Family Gatherings® commences.
Games, competitions, the dreaded sing-along while walking around the Christmas tree, mindless debates and discussions, not to mention the fun of miming stuff in front of 20 people. I do wonder if I'll be able to survive it this year.
