Hmm, interesting. The new board software can support many languages. First time I've heard a request for this, though, considering the language of the forum post and posters here is obviously English. We have a number of international posters who are multilingual of course, but posting anything in French will cut out many who don't feel like using Babelfish or Google Translator or something.

I don't see a reason not to install a bunch of language packs when I migrate, though. Good idea.

I think, all posters should write in english, but the board language to be in their own language would be something ^^

To me, most software related definitions and words don't mean anything in real life. Seeing things like 'cut and paste' , 'bookmark', 'page break' and 'lurker lounge' in my own language would confuse me immensly.

It might be different for me though because the dutch market is not big enough to sell e.g. games like diablo in a dutch version. I guess in germany and france they have their own versions, so for people from those countries it might be more convenient.

I translated "Lurker Lounge" into Dutch via Google translator and it came out as "Lurker Lounge."

:whistling:

Anyway, translations of things like "Post" and "Reply" into other languages seem harmless enough. I'm just happy that if I talk about this website to my clients in Rotterdam, they will have no trouble understanding what I'm referring to. (Beautiful city, by the way.)

You should visit some other cities in the region when you have time.
Rotterdam was almost completely destroyed by the Germans in 1940, so it is just buildings from the 20th century, and lots of industry.

Rotterdam? Beautiful? bweh!

Lurker Lounge = Sluimer Lounge in Dutch. We adopted a mass of English in our language. We're not nearly as protective of our language as the Jerries or the French.
