Unfortunanetly, Blizz's so-called "remake" of D1 in the D3 engine has little to do with D1, other than that it has D1 music and monster names with 16 lvls of dungeon player. It is pretty forgettable:

Judging by the average number of times in one year I replay Diablo 1 vs Diablo 3, they should have remade D3 in the D1 engine instead.
