One of my alchemists just did her daily transmute and received five bars of Truegold. Two bars at a time I have seen a lot, but never before other than one or two.
What is the range of number of bars that are possible?

I have yet to get a proc from my xmute master on truegold.

There's always been a chance to get from 1 to 5 items.
Nobody has ever had more than 5, AFAIK. You just had hot dice. It's been this way for transmute spec as long as I can remember. Even in TBC you had a chance for 5, but would usually get 1 or 2. As I recall, it's about a 15% chance of getting 2 or more, with lesser chances of 3, 4, or 5. Knowing their programming I'm this is very likely a single roll and not an initial 15% chance, then a second roll for additional procs.

Terenas WoW player... while we waited for Diablo III. And it came... and it went... and I played Hearthstone longer than Diablo III.

I've got a X5 proc twice in the past few months. I love it.
