Super Corpse

This happened on my brother's Bone/Poison only Necro(the skeletal mage was from a head I picked up) The Flayer's corpse could be targeted multiple times, although of course, no skeletal mage appeared, but the poison clouds from poison explosion were super thick.

I guess it was a super lag effect, cos the corpse disappeared(together with all others) when I did a quick pop back to town. Funny thing was, I could sitll walk all over normally, killing stuff without any real lag.. I tested this by walking about 1 screen away, and killing a couple of vulture demons without any further problems.

This time, on a river stalker's corpse(each tentacle counted as one) I'm getting freaked out by this...

Edit: Corrected the link:

For some reason or other, the damn URL tag is wrong.

the damn URL tag is right, but Tripod forces you to cut-and-paste the link into your browser manually.

See your help thread for more information...

There are a couple of display issues effecting anything that can be resurrected by a shaman.

1.) A viewable corpse that's not really there (It has since been resurrected and probably died somewhere else).

2.) An upright and apparently alert monster that's not really there (it's really a corpse and can still be resurrected if a shaman is nearby)

As for the River Stalker, I've never seen that happen. You're proabbly right about it resulting from lag and yes, I'd accept that as an alternate explanation to #1 above.

To clarify, that happened a few more times in that game. I'm guessing it's related to another situation(an old barb of mine used to do infinite find potions on a corpse, no result of course) It's probably because I have a crappy old video card, so my client-side shows the corpse as still being "valid" even though b.net registers it as dead. Obvious enough, even to me, especially because the explosions didn't require any mana. I wonder if this qualifies as the STSI for the month. Bolty? :D
