Well for me the lounge part is partly about discoveries and codedigging and some is about making "crazy" builds viable going off the main road, exploring possibilitys!
And here mmorpg have a real potential, offcause depending on gamemecanics.
I have begun playing starwars just to try a mmorpg, and the building a character part in that is for the time just as enjoyable as diablo2 ever was. And for discoverys in codedigging in an mmorpg updated daily its freaking hart just to keep oriented about what happend in the pathchanges.
what amazes me is how many different "games" in the starwars mmorpg people actual plays!
And that is actual what i thinks going to be an important part in define a winner mmorpg! One there can satisfy some clear game objectives for the powergames and have alot of different "games in it".
But lets face it all mmorpgs is still babys for a long time yet!
you have so many elements to play with in them but not a worked through game mecanic to juggle with the features! And neither the experience off what it is the gamers want!
For my part i am split between wanting a weekly day with good friends having a good time doing roleplaying and simply dive deep into a game world of unknown adventure, and on the other side I also want to analyze, understand and play to win some off the other weekdays hmm!
I could wish also to see a clear winner, but that really difficult! maybe the best shot would be the most inovative as this is still a pioner field!
