/players is not a valid command. For a list of commands type /help.

No, the players x command (hm, I guess /players now, you're right) has never worked on Realm, and likely never will. It's solely intended to ramp up the Single Player questing experience to the same sort of levels that Realm characters are allowed to enjoy.
USEAST: Werewolf (94), Werebear (87), Hunter (85), Artimentalist (78), Meleementalist (76, ret.)
USEAST HCL: Huntermentalist (72), Werewolf (27)
Single Player HC: Werewolf (61, deceased), Werewolf (24)

It was introduced in 1.09 and it never worked on any cllosed realms.
