Bonus Type of Superior Items

I was looking at some various Runewords, when a question occured to me: Does the bonus to damage count as Base Damage (such as ethereal) or Weapon Damage (like the Merciless prefix) bonus?

I looked it up on Tommi's page, but wasn't sure whether or not I was answered.

The damage bonus on extra-damage superior weapons is just +5-15% ED, in the same way that Merciless is +81-100% ED. It doesn't affect the base damage.
