There's something I'm trying to remember about the Lounge. At one point - a couple rounds of forum software ago, I think - the Lounge was hosting another D2 community, one dedicated to Paladins. Can anyone remember:
What was it called? (Halls of Zakarum?)
Who was behind it? (I just can't remember his screen name - I think he had or was working on a Paladin guide/resource)
Whatever happened to it? (Did they fade away, get absorbed into the Lounge, or what?)

Yes, it was Popemaster, and I'm 95% sure it was the Halls of Zakarum.
Not sure what happened to him/it, though...

A google search yielded this description, but the page here on LL is apparently out of date:
Quote:The Lurker Lounge: Diablo II - News Archive February 2001
... Lounge regulars pope master and Leshy have started the Halls of Zakarum, a
strategy site dedicated to the Paladin class. Stop by and take a look...
A couple sites gave the link as
http://hallsofzakarum.net-games.com/ , which is now broken.
EDIT: The Link in the news archives works, my computer was just giving me 404s in the archives for some reason <_<

Pope popped his head in a month or 4 ago, but that was the first time in quite awhile. He hasn't been interested in D2 for about 2 or 3 years. If you were asking to start a new paladin area for the LL the slot is definantly vacant. :D

http://www.archive.org is a useful site if you would like to view old webpages, not sure if the links will work, though.
