Countess drop Vex ??

In treasureclassex.txt Countess Hell is tc Runes 12

tc runes 12 max rune is r 24 (ist) then downgrade to runes 11 and follow that path.

Some guys told me yesterday Countess drop vex . How it can be ?

runes 13 is vex. i know runes 13 downgrades to runes 12 but runes 12 cannot upgrade to runes 13 . Or can ?

Countess can drop higher level runes on her normal (non-rune) drop. But that doesn't explain why she seems to drop Vex more often than most..

She can only drop up to Ist from her rune drop. She can drop up to Lo from her item drop, but this is much, much more rare. The item drop runes (Gul, Vex, Ohm, Lo) are on the order of 100 times less common than an Ist from the Countess.

Last time I checked (by checked, I mean I remember hearing this...), the Countess had runes weighted slightly in her non-rune drop compared to others. Which would explain why she drops more Vexes than a unique monster of equal level.

It's actually because her normal drop has more picks. On a per pick basis, Unique monsters in the same area have better chances.
