Burning in Mules

My mules who I haven't used in a month still have 'Expires in 7 days' on them. What's going on?

Characters still have an expiration date if you don't play them enough. I think it's something like 90 days, so maybe you're getting close to the end with them?

Have you tried playing the mules? It may be that the expiration date has passed and they can no longer be accessed. The server might not have updated what you see on the screen.
Don't worry. You won't feel a thing...until I jam this down your throat!

Have you read the FAQ, Etiquette, or the Rules yet?

Quick note:
You don't have to play the characters to reset the timer. Just going to a channel (or maybe even the lobby?) is enough. Don't do it too quickly with too many characters, though, or you'll be kicked for a while.

Lobby is enough. The ban appears if you do it repeatedly with 6 chars (it seems).

Best is to join a game with every fourth character, see if Charsi is over her break-up with Wariv, and then start over.
