Gmail giveaways

I didn't want to steal DeeBye's thunder by posting in his thread, but I have about 6 invites that are burning a hole in my gmail account.

First 6 to post their email will get an invite.

*keep in mind, for some mail services, the gmail invite gets booted to a "bulk" or "spam" mail folder.

The day I post my email address in an open forum is the day you can officially call me senile.
And you may call it righteousness
When civility survives,
But I've had dinner with the Devil and
I know nice from right.

Sent, Munkay.

I didn't mean you'd have to post your email. I just thought that would be easiest. If you want to PM the email, go for it, I wont post it :P Drop a post here though, since I dont check the PMs very often. Your call.

A dark brooding figure sitting over in the corner pulls back his cloak, raises a crooked finger and says in a low guttural rumble, "One here!"

As senility apparently has already set in here, you will find my email addy in my sig. Foolish or not, I can't say, but I have noticed no increase in spam (a local delicacy here in its home state of Minnesota) since having it posted here some time ago. Besides, there are always filters and virus checkers, the condoms of the email world.

Sent, Archon, Iguana, and Lochnar.

All done. We'll see how long it takes for more invites. If you guys that now have gmail get other invites, it'd probably be nice to spread that back to the other lurkers.

If one were to want to dodge spam and post their email, you could always type it so those dumb spam bots couldn't understand it.

Such as halma1 AT hotmail DOT COM

Don't worry, that email hasn't been checked in months. I abandoned it long ago due to spam. :P

When you have sign up for something, but you really don't care about recieving "useful" solitictations from their "sponsors" it's great to use a dummy email address just for these things. I use my main email address only for things I care about. :)

Same :)

My school address gets roughly 1-2 spam messages a day, whereas my 'dummy account' (an old yahoo account) gets roughly 400-600 messages a day. It really is helpful to have a dummy account.

I, too, have a dummy account. As I've said earlier, if I were to add up all the mail I gotten today, I would be entitled to, with a money back guarentee, a 9 foot 7 inch long penis. :o Happy Birthday to me.

I think a lot of this comes from having my spam mail account shown publicly on the other forum I visit. :P

I have 2 more Gmail invitations to give away.

The first two people to reply to this thread and tell me a Knock Knock joke get the goods (PM me your e-mail if you'd like, but you must post the Knock Knock joke in this thread).

edit: all out of invites for now. You guys are quick.
