I just got a copy, and it is quite like I'd hoped Diablo 1 might have mutated.
6 character classes - straight hack'n slash - go for the bad guy over a big map stuff. Also monty haul. Only started, and it is awfully young yet - but it seems to be kinda similar to a expanded D1 (with modern graphic support).
Haven't tried multiplayer - so not sure if the addictive nature of D1 got captured. Real small skill tree - more like D1 spells than D2 skills. Lots of fall about loot.
Worth a look if you can get it inexpensively..
