Oh god, five years.

I hope some have grown wiser (not me), we're not going to be any younger!

5 Years - Yipes..

I'd only been playing Diablo for about 5 months then.. And man, has the site grown..

I still have some of the old threads to read..

OUCH! That link takes me to an OLD LL site that then links to the old Amazon Basin forums (on EZBoard). Crimony!

And it has links to the Asylum too!... Will always remember the good old days of DSF, LL and Woody's, the three places that got me totally hooked on diablo and its sequels.

Oh, and Happy (superduper) Belated Hatchday!

I think it says it all when I realized I had more interest in reading this forum than actually playing diablo. And when I realized that even when I "quit" diablo (each and every time) I was still reading every forum on the website.

Glad you're all here, glad we're still here, glad to be a part of it -- *raises glass in a silent toast*

Figured I'd throw in my 2 cents, too.

When I found these fora (I think some website in a starcraft context pointed it out to me), I knew that I was at the right place here. I encountered some minor adaption problems, but I think I have become a lurker by now.
To see that this place keeps on bringing out quality topics and replies is a great delight.
This site is famous around gamers and deservedly so, not only for its fora but also for its articles and links, and of course its attitude towards everything that spoils the fun of the games. I'm just sitting on it, but working through all the information can yet take sometime...

5 years maybe... :)

1999-2004: happy birthday for the lurker's lounge :) !

Although I only registered at the beginning of the year,I began to look for info at the lurker from the end of 2000 when I got diablo 2;the lounge is a reliable source of information;I have never read any wrong info about d2,and this makes it for me the best reliable website about the game;congratulations for all the good work!
I am always amazed at the huge work of the team to bring us info and updates;this is a real challenge to run this website and keep it up to date for a game as complex as diablo
Maybe a wrong feeling I have about the lounge:I feel that the people are too serious and get mad for almost nothing;chill out people pls! Don't be tense :P
I'd like to read more special files;for instance,a complete guide to understand the mechanism of breakpoints or a guide for damage calculations (taking into account both skills and mods of items);I can help if you need
