Blade Fury Asn
#1
I am planning to start a Bblade fury asn on the new ladder and got some questions and thoughts on the skills and items to be used. Comments are welcome.

My initial thought was to create a BF Asn that can do weel both PVC and PVP, if possible.

So here we go.

1. Is Venom a must MAX skill for a blade fury asn? If so, what other items that I should be looking for to incease the efficiency and damage of the poison? charm - lots of 100 pd sc or 1 piece of 451 pd sc (well if I can get one), if I use a bramble runeword, will it help? if I use the nec set gloves, will it help?

2. Other than Venom, I still have plenty of skills left, should I max fade? I heard fade had a hidden bonus - phy damage reduce, I think its 1% for each point you will invest. However, I have seen it somewhere that people tested and found out that it actaully have a cap and you won't get full 20% even you max it out, is this correct?

3. OK, for PVP purpose, I think wake of fire plus mind blast are needed, I am not really relying on the damage from WOF, so I think its only going to be a 1 point wonder for me, but however, from what I have heard, MB is a skill that should be maxed in order to have any efficiency in PVP. Should I do that? since my main attack is BF, I don't think I have many items can improve my fast cast rate, so if I max out MB, is it really a good choice?

4. for boots, I am planning to use Gore Rider or a +2 Shadow Dance, any better choice than these?

5. For helm, I have a really nice circlet with +2 asn skills, 21 str, all res 11% and 30% enhanced damage and minor mods. And I also has a crown of age with 2 sockets and 14% DR and 25% res. Which one is better for me? suppose I can socket them with 40% ED jews, will crown of age be a better one for my asn?

6. for gloves, how about Dracul's Grasp vs Steelrend? I would think the first one is a better fit in PVC and the second one should work well in PVP.

7. armor : Natalya's Shadow with 3 sockets (3 x 40% ed jew in), is this the only good choice?

8. belt : other than Verdungo's Hearty Cord, can't think of anything useful. maybe crafted belt?

9. weapon : I am heavily in favor of an ETH Stone Crusher currently I got one with 301%ED, which is not bad, I guess this should work fine in PVC. Also got an ETH Gimmershred at second slot, I think that should resolve the proble for phy immune. But how about for PVP?

again, comments are welcome, thanks in advance.

Here's a link to a rather good guide for Blade Fury done by Rogue Mage. Hope it helps you.

Hi

If you need specialised advice go here:

One of the nice things about Blade Fury is that you can use etheral weapons without them loosing durability

For PvP, duels I assume, just go with standard Trapsin builds.

Venom isn't neccessary, a poison charm in your inventory will stop monster regenaration just as well.

2-hand weapons only do 3/8 of standard damage when used in BF-mode, 1-handed weapons 7/8!

Imprtant: All BF assas during the first ladder had maxed Shadowmaster and Death Sentry.

good karma

One-hand weapons do 3/4 damage. That's 6/8, not 7/8.
