The sound of it going completly over my head. I'm guessing that its some form of code and/or a pattern puzzle though...just cant seem to make heads or tails of it

I'm going to be discussing my progress (or lack of) fairly liberally, so stop reading now if you want to stay completely in the dark.
Extracting clues from the pages were not hard (and google even turned up a forum thread discussion solutions) but I know far less than adequate amount of European literature and history to proceed without going mad at the lack of useful returns from google and wikipedia since I don't even know what I'm looking for. Also, lacking absolutely any knowledge of Dutch, some of the clues I do manage to extract only confuse me further. I did create a crude ASCII translator to help decode the second puzzle, am at a loss to what the answer is. So far, neither google nor wikipedia has returned any useful references related to the question, at least not in a language I can actually understand. For now, I'm throwing in the towel.

I clicked on the dishwasher and it took me to like the red matrix.

I don't understand this at all!
Will reply IF I figure out more.... <_< Stupid puzzle!!! EDIT: MAJOR SPOILERS: (probably) I looked at the source code and saw what I was supposed to see, but it wasn't aligned correctly in my browser or something <_< . I had seen the bizarre symbols before but couldn't make heads or tails of them. Now all I have to do is figure out the name... I also haven't figured out what the title of the page had to do with anything...

*SPOLER*
Okay Occhi the first page you click on an oven, that takes you to a bunch of red 1s and 0s. If you copy paste the page however you get an ACSII message Quote:Alexander cut me,I too don't know enough legends to solve that one. I'm sure you do so help us out.
As someone pointed out, the site has a forum for discussions, I can post the link to it from home later tonight. By the way, make sure sound is on as some pages has some sound (the next one after the red 1 and 0 actually says something, although not sure if it is a clue or needed).
As for how far I have got, I am not really good at these things so have not gone anywere alone, I have read solutions that gets you to about 3 or 4 pages after the red 1 and 0.

*SPOILER*
Well, I didnt even catch that part, but by the discriptions it sounds like they're talking about the Gordian Knot that Alexander the Great cut in half, thus solving its puzzle and showing that he was the destined king. Hope that helps

I did actually googled for forum threads for the first answer, but turns out googling for the answer itself wasn't that hard -- it's all-over the search results.
The key to "playing" this seems to be scrutinizing everything. And I do mean everything. Page title, source code, a certain frame of an animated gif, source code, the clearly deliberately distorted and quiet background sound, and source code. Did I mention source code? Unfortunately, I seem to have dug a little too deep in to the second puzzle, leading me to an obscenely confusing clue that was painfully tedious to decode in the first place, discussion threads on The Ring (movie), and Dutch tourist information sites. Oy! *SPOILER* From the second puzzle on, strings converted to ASCII decimals seems to be a re-occurring encryption device. Be ready to spend a lot of time with an ASCII chart, or code up an translator like I did. Of course, you can also find the decrypted messages in those spoiler threads. |
