I have recently been playing Diablo 1, after a long break from it. I was in a multiplayer game chillin out with my Rogue- ripping into the denzians of the dungeon with her machine gun when the machine gun ran out of bullets. Or the durrability on my bow was running low- whichever one you prefer. Now I started playing drums with the Skeletons heads with the mace I hace picked up and I began thinking "I need a shield."
At that moment, a shield dropped, so I began thinking Murphy might not be home tonight. I was wrong. Murphy's laughter could be heard ringing threw tristram as I ID'd the shield and it ended up being this:

I have never seen this before, so I was just wondering whats going on. Would this be considered a rare item to find? Because it's a positive prefix with a negative suffix?

Hybrid item. Not all that rare. Valuable to some variants depending on the prefix\suffix combination. Your link doesn't work so I can't tell what it is =P

Heh, yeah- thanks for the feedback. I can get the link to work if I find someway to put it in a respectable IMG format. I do not have any programs that allow me to view PCX, therefore, no programs that allow me to change it to a different type of image format.

Hi,
To convert your files, give
Paint Shop Pro a try. Even if you don't buy it, you can at least convert your file to a .jpg
As to mixed types of modifiers on an item -- pretty rare but not totally unusual. As long as all the other requirements are met (right base item, correct levels, etc.) I think they have the same probability of occurring as any other specific combination.

Wow, thanks much Pete. I was thinking the same way as you that the conflicting prefix/suffix combo would be rare.
