Brief Level Guide

Since i am sure i am not the only newbie in regards to this game (First time i played was Nov. 23, 2004) i thought it might be helpful that some of the veterans of beta as well as the retail game post some thoughts on areas of the game that are level appropriate. I must admit that most of levelling has been completely random and from exploring. Most of the time i have no idea where quests are given and where to hand them in. Its been quite the adventure! Here are my preliminary thoughts on what would be the best area for your level to level in:

This is from human Paladin, human Priest perspective. Starting area is Northshire.

Level 1-6 Northshire
Level 8-13 Elwynn Forest
Level 14-20 Westfall
Level 16-22 Loch Modan
Instance: Deadmines (Level 20 to 24)-----located in Moonbrook in Westfall
Level 20-26 Redridge Mountains
Level 26-32 Duskwood
Instance: Stockades (Level 28 to 34)----Located in Stockades, Stormwind City
Level 32-34 Stranglehorne (Rebel Camp and Nesingwray Expedition)
Level 34-36 Desolace (Kalimdor Continent)
Level 34-36 Shimmering Flats
Instance: Gnomereghan (Level 30 to Level 38)
Level 34-38 Southshore
Arathi Highlands
Instance: Scarlet Monastery (Tirisfall Glades) Level 38-44
Level 38-46 Booty Bay in Stranglehorne
Instance: Uldaman (located in Badlands) Level 42 to Level 46
Level 40+ Swamp of Sorrows
Level 42+ Gadgetzan

Please do remember, this is very preliminary, there is a lot of overlap between the zones. Often you will have to go back to repeat areas to complete elite quests are level appropriate quests. As some of us have noticed, Blizzard did not necessarily group quests in zone by level. I am hoping for more ideas from others. Hope this helps others!
