all hunter party

If you guys are need of more hunters, I'd be happy to make one and level it up to whatever level you're at.

My viewpoint is, the more the merrier. So I encourage everyone who has an interest in this to make a hunter and get it caught up. Kand and I stopped at level 10 the last time we played so thats where we are. Haven't even hit the pet trainer as of yet. So yeah, join in. : )

An alternative to this that may be more workable, is to restrict the hunter only parties to instances. So basically, we would all play on our own, with each other, with others, or whatever untill we hit an agreed upon age for an instance. Then we would wait for the rest to get to the level and figure out a day/time to do the instance. I'm kind of leaning towards this option because I think its going to be rough getting people on all the time for normal play and also that instances are where the more interesting things will be anyway. So what does everyone else thing? Is it better to keep things restricted to only hunters all of the time or is it better to restrict it just to instances?

Some sample levels off the top of my head would be:

RFC: 16
WC: 20
BFD: 24

I'm trying to pick levels that aren't so low that we have no chance, but aren't so high that things are a cakewalk. So feel free to input about these as well. Also, comment with more instances if you know them and have an idea what level would be good for them.

That sounds like a good plan. I ran around on Friday for awhile trying to do everything I could except get experience. So my burly Orc hunter picked many, mnay flowers and made many potions. :)

Let's choose a target level for RFC or WC, and I'll stop there until we can plan the instance runs.

I'd say either lvl 15 of 16 for RFC. Going past 16 would probably make it a bit too easy. 20 still feels aboud right to me for WC.

Lochlauncher is already at 16 so I guess he won't be doing RFC with you guys. He doesn't fit the theme anyway. He's a Tauren and currently has a carrion bird named Polly and I'm planning on getting him either a Durator tiger or savanah patriarch today. I don't even know where RFC is anyway. There are a couple quests for it in his log but I have not found it yet. His log is almost full with stuff from Crossroads and Rachet.

Well I don't have any problem with you coming along. Especially if we don't have a full group. I was thinking a group of 5 15-16's would be about right. So if there are only 3-4 of us then another level or two wouldn't hurt. I'm also just generally not picky about things. So I say if you need it, aren't 20+, and are a hunter then you can do it with us. I was just saying 15-16 as a place for people to aim for, not as a hard and fast rule. The only hard and fast rule really is that we do instances only with hunters. The theme doesn't need to be followed. The levels don't really need to be matched exactly. Thats all stuff that kind of works as guides for those who want to go that route, its not required though. So I think you are fine, but I don't know when the rest of us will be ready for RFC and so by the time we are you may be too high. Oh and RFC is in Orgimmar. Its down in the drag which is the purple area.

This is really the point I was making, although I do ramble, as usual. I'm 16 now, have not even found RFC or Orgimmar and have lots of stuff I'm working on for Crossroads and Rachet. I'll probably be able to solo it by the time I do find it. ;)

Oh yeah, I did tame a savannah patriarch today (named it Felix) and I'm already thinking I prefer him. Since I don't have a rich alt on Terenas to pay for the extra pet slot, it looks like Polly (my carrion bird) is going to have to be abandoned the next time I tame something for a skill.

My hunter just hit 15. I'll probably play her till she is 16, but basically I am ready for RFC when everyone else is. So post here when you are ready and we can start working out a date/time.

So kandrathe and I discussed things a little bit in game today. We decided that the more the merrier approach just doesn't really work. There haven't been many people make hunters and so it doesn't seem like there will be enough to do RFC or any other instances. So we are now leaning towards trying to build a core group of 5. The idea would be that the 5 characters would level in any way that they choose to certain agreed upon level points. At these points, the 5 would decide on a date/time to group up and tackle the instance that that point is designated for. So what we need are 5 people who want to play hunters and are willing to devote some time to them. You don't have to play your hunter all of the time, but you do need to devote enough time to the character that you don't hold the whole group back. So currently kandrathe has a hunter and I have one. So we need three more. We might as well stick with the orc/bear idea as well. So who is interested in making an orc hunter and joining the group? We are currently working towards RFC (lvl 15-16) and so thats the first goal.

So far there has been interest expressed in this thread by Bird, kalil. vizune, and ShadoweSpirit. Are any of you still interested in the idea? Please respond here so we can start getting an idea of where things stand.

Hey! I expressed interest.
I already have a hunter on Terenas--level 28. All my available slots on Tereanas are occupied. If it suits the Hunter Group, I'll join you when you guys reach around level 28.
BTW, the bear is a ligth brown--grizzly from Silverpine.

My concern is how much higher you are. 16 to 28 feels like a good deal of a difference. A rough idea is forming in my head. Kandrathe and I can get our chars to 18 or so. Then we can join up with ShadoweSpirit's hunter and try to do RFC with the three of us. I think it might work out with us all being 18. ShadoweSpirit's can then join the all hunter group even though she isn't an orc.

From here the three of us can start leveling towards WC. Gnollguy said he has a level 20 orc hunter and so we could pick him up on the way for the all hunter group. That will give us four hunter which I guess might be able to do WC at around 22 or so. The 4 of us can then level a bit more and try to tackle Shadowfang Keep and from there go onto Blackfathom Deeps.

The last spot could either be filled by you (Alram), by FlashNPan's lvl 30 hunter, or by somebody else. If you fill in the last spot I'm thinking that being 28 means you could probably join us in BFD. You would be edging close to being too high for it, but I think its still close enough to being in range.

The only trouble with this idea is that I've not heard from ShadoweSpirit or GG since their original posts and so don't know if they are still interested.

Ok. :) But it's like me chasing Sabra on Stormrage. She is able to stay about 10 levels ahead of me. I crunch and close a little, but she always seems to stay ahead. By the time we are 28, you will be 38 or Bob's your uncle.

Nope. I don't play the hunter. So when you get there to 28, it will give me a reason to play her again.

After the recent grouping with Kandraka, Swirlyhunt is 18 and ready for RFC. So who else is ready to do RFC as a group of hunters? I think we need at least 3 17-18 level ones to do this. Also, what day/time is good for everyone?

Lochlauncher is soon at lvl 22 so that will be the last level at which his remaining RFC quests will still be green. He, and his cat Felix, did the first quest (kill x shamans and troggs) before it went gray but I'm doubting he'll be able to do the rest solo before they become pointless. Give a yell if you have room when you go.

Slightly off-topic...

This is the first 'OMG, this guy walks SO SLOW!' quest for the Horde that I ran in to. Man, what a pain.

The only non-painfully-slow escort quest that we've done so far is the Desolace escort-the-caravan-past-the-centaur quest (tried to find a link but to no avail). It was fun and it had a useful reward from what I remember. The goblin leading the caravan is a real wanker. Especially funny with chat-bubbles as he spews comments about our worth as bodyguards in local chat :)
