It is kind of odd that they changed the colors.

Also, the new wolves look very cool, I'm looking forward to them.

Paladin mount is essentially the same but with spikes on it's armor.

I went looking for a picture and was ready to gouge my eyes out after a few minutes of browsing the Blizzard forums.

Blizzard has stated you will be able to turn in a current level 60 mount in exchange for one of the new ones.

It'd stand to reason that they're adding new items but not changing the old ones. So yes, you can buy a level 60 mount before the patch and hang onto it. Limited Edition.
