I will definitely be there.  Our last party was one of the highlight of my WoW experiences (and that includes Onyxia and Major Domo) and it was a great time getting to know all my fellow Lurkers.  We are a fun and crazy bunch and i am up for anything that night.

The Lurkers Guild Spring Party & Raid is scheduled for Sunday May 1, 2005 starting at 8 PM server time.

Your Hosts: Sabra and NSD
Your Raid Leader: Flyndar

Gathering venue: Duskwood in front of the Inn.
The Raid Location will be announced by Flyn at the party
It is close to Duskwood and should be reasonably accessible to all.
NPC level, I'm told, is low to mid 50s and there is a Horde fp in the location.

REMINDER: FUN PARTY ITEMS WILL BE MAILED TO THOSE ATTENDING

Our party will feature a special commodity to be mailed on the day of the event to those who register their attendance in advance, so please let us know if you're coming. (We will have items on hand for those who find they can attend at the last minute.)

NEWS: WE HAVE A PRIZE DONATION!!!
While the prize itself is only useful to a certain segment of our community, I am told by the donator that it will sell for a rather nice price at the AH. So ... in order to award this well ... I need to come up with a CONTEST! I'm thinking it over and asking for ideas from others. If you have a good idea for a contest in which all levels may participate equally, please send me a PM by Wed. 4/27.

Still could use a few more items to reimburse the expense of obtaining the special commodity. If you get an un-needed item that will sell at the AH, please WoW-mail it to Conzo. (Also thinking that NSD and I may have a "last minute rush" to acquire more of the special commodity once all have responded. We want each player to have sufficient item quantities to make the evening memorable.) FYI, Sabraelf, who is level 19, kicked up two green items that sold, so all levels may feel free to participate. See note below.

A word about the special commodity... it has been costly to amass in the quantities needed. If any of our Alliance Guild members who care to contribute un-needed BoE or popular trade/craft items to help defray expenses, please WoW-mail them to my AH character, Conzo.

As long as you aren't a night elf, it's pretty easy even for a level 13 to get to darkshire safely. It's a whole lot easier than the run through the Wetlands. ;) But yes, escorts are available, even for the Night Elves. :D

My thought, and it may be unrealistic, but it might be a really good thing for the lowbies to be sort of like scouts and take responsibility for keeping an eye on world and local defense.

We will be holding a Costume Contest and the winner will receive our generously donated prize. (See quote below)

You can get cold feet or compete at the last minute without posting. I just want the judges to know approximately how many people they need to inspect. Full Guild Participation in the contest would be great, but it is optional. You can attend the party and raid and not compete in the costume contest.

Rules:
1) The Judges will decide on an indoor location with adequate light and then make a channel announcement that the contest is starting.
3) Each contestant will come forward singly to be inspected by our panel of three judges.
4) The judges will confer and an announcement of the winner will be made in this thread within 24 hours.
5) The generously donated prize will be awarded to the winner by WoW-mail.
6) There will be great rejoicing.
