If It's Wednesday...

There are two elite beasts in Eastern Plaguelands that are Cruising for a Bruising.

One is a level 60+ Elite Bat called Duskwing, who covers some ground at approx. 31,69 in southwestern EP. The other is a truly revolting Grub called Borelgore, located around 46,57.

Anyone on Stormrage who would like to get up to Eastern Plaguelands to help Mirajj and me polish off these two targets of opportunity on Wednesday 6/8/05 at about 8:45 pm server (Eastern) is most welcome.

The entire event should take less than 30 minutes, if I judge it correctly.

Please indicate your interest by posting here.

Additionally it would present an opportunity for the group to take on the Crimson Courier and his bodyguard. They patrol EP in a northwest to southeast fashion. Good opportunity for those who have not been playing much in EP to fill in some map area. The Crimson Courier is 60+ Elite and is accompanied by a bodyguard of 5. They hit hard and have been a thorn in my side during the time that Sabramage has been questing there. (I think it's a bodyguard of 5. I'm usually running too fast to count!)

Our objectives are two fold- One is to hit the mobs and get in a little raid practice, both for players and for Mirajj to become more fluent with CT Raid. Two is to make it easy for others to pick up some of the quests for Stratholme, several of which can be easily obtained nearby. Escorts happily provided. (Good news on the Strat quests is that if you don't want to clutter up your quest log with them at the moment, there's a flight path you pick up that connects through The Hinterlands and will get you right back to EP. Handy?)

All details for the above can be researched easily on thott.

Hope to see you there!

Grr... I hate Duskwing.

After running into him multiple times in the plaguelands, I decided to hunt him down give a little payback. I managed to solo him and revelled in the loot...

...a bat ear.
See you in Town,

Borelgore and Duskwing are targets for a series of Horde quests. Unlike Teremus, there's no guarantee of useful loot. They should be easy prey, anyway - not bosses. :)

Since Borelgore is one of those Larva, he might drop Larval Acid. Just a hint to Hunters, but I have Swift Flight Bracers recipe now if they want that.

Oh yeah, guess I should update the crafting post.
Trade yourself in for the perfect one. No one needs to know that you feel you've been ruined!

Yuen, Loch, and Flyn decided to whack Duskbat one night in the distant past for revenge on him interrupting some questing. I've never actually bothered to kill Borelgore. It is certainly not necessary to have a large group to take out all of these targets but it can always be fun to get revenge on mobs out in the world :)

Well, if those aren't challenge enough...there's always the Crimson Courier kicking around...or even Blightcaller. ;) That area is full of opportunites for teamwork.

The one time I was in on the kill, he dropped the whatchamajigger (yeah, I got real technical there ;) ) that you can turn in to get an item. I managed to get an upgrade from what we got after turning it in so I thought it was useful. :)

He'll always drop a blue BoE item. That's generally considered useful, if for nothing else than to sell to an Enchanter if you don't give it to them. =)

Due to LL downtime, this ... ahem ... didn't happen, but we'll try it again sometime.

Mirajj, if you'd like to post a time frame that would be good for you, since you're the one with the schedule.

Thanks to Mods and Admins for the topic move.

For those who posted about loot ... well this really isn't about loot. The stated objectives of this little adventure are to allow Mirajj to get more experience with CT Raid and to help some of our "en route to 60s" get up into WP & EP and get oriented. Anything else is icing on the cake.

Ok, till next weekend, this is what my schedule looks like, I'm on a day swing, so when I work, it's from 8am till 8pm.

I'm off today (thursday). I work fri/sat/sun. I have mon/tues off. I work wed/thurs. I have fri off, but Sat/Sun I'm likely to be out of town for father's day.

On the days I work, i"m not likely to be around, or if I am, I am not able to usually 'do' anything but help out quickly here and there, as I have an hour or so at best. When I'm off...I'm around all day, so generally, anytime in around there.

Tris and I are solidly doing quests in EP and WP for the next eon, so snatch us away whenever you like (speaking for Tris here, but I don't think he'd mind).
