On July 1, 1867, thanks to the British North American Act, the Dominion of Canada was formed. To commemorate this most solemn of anniversaries, Canadians get together and drink beer, fire up the barbecue, drink beer, and complain about the gas prices/weather/government/price of beer (while drinking beer).
Canada Day is not to be confused with the American "Independance Day" which features Will Smith punching out an alien while saying "Welcome to ERF!", and is celebrated 3 whole days later :)
Now we shall celebrate all things Canadian!
God bless you Molson and Labatts.
The Canadarm is a proud Canadian widget that serves aboard NASA's space shuttles.

Canada is proud of its very fine cinematic history.

Yes, when I visited Canada long ago, I encountered several rather nice beavers. I must agree.
All alone, or in twos,
The ones who really love you
Walk up and down outside the wall.
Some hand in hand
And some gathered together in bands.
The bleeding hearts and artists
Make their stand.
And when they've given you their all
Some stagger and fall, after all it's not easy
Banging your heart against some mad buggers wall.

I love Canada.
Unfortunately, I went to http://www.canadians.ca/, and Avril Lavigne was the first name I saw.

I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry rot. I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.

Canadian Beavers are no joke my friend... If you ever encounter a sleeping beaver, you should tickle his chin and give him a pinch... But be careful, he might bite!

If she was naked, that's OK, otherwise, she is better seen than heard. :P

Ah, but at least he's not singing. Only the brave would want to venture there...
