After having lost complete faith in the Arreat Summit as a source of information, I am now attempting to compensate for this by learning how some of the coding works. Unfortunately, I know nothing.
From an Amazon Basin thread, I learned that mlvl can be adjusted up or down by the alvl, then further modified by whether it is a minion, unique, champ, etc. Ok, that's great. I get that. The next part is how that affects other stats such as drop class, hp, experience, etc. There are dozens of threads about drop class, so I can find that. But what about the modifications to experience? What about HP? Damage? Is it a simple ratio of (alvl+X)/(mlvl), with X being the addition for minions/uniques/champs, and mlvl being the value in MonStats? Or maybe it is something else. I don't know, and I don't know where to look aside from asking a question.
Thanks,
ilk
