WoW owns the MMORPG market, or at least part of it, because fun is where you find it.
Some games don't have as many subscribers as there are WOW "for profit" users.
$14.00 x 5,000,000 per month is a nice revenue stream.
There is some question about global numbers, due to some Chinese and Korean games being massively subscribed. I had heard that about 20% of the Korean population plays on line games. :blink:
There are about 17 million players in Ragnarok Online, as I understand it. That would make it three times as big as WoW.
