When looking into the probabilites of monsters appearing in the Crypt, Bone Demons will appear on level 4 of the crypt 40% of the time. Yet, according to monster size info, I am getting that bone demons should never appear on this level.
Montster size starts at 4000 (I am in 5.3.1 here in the guide), at which time you subtract golem size. Now since this is Crypts 4, you subtract the size of Na-Krul. Also, Arch-Lich must always spawn, so subtract its size. The size remaining is the available amount left to pick monsters to spawn on the level:
4000-386-1200-800 = 1614
The size of the Bone Demon is 1740, which is greater than the available maximum, and so it shouldn't appear on the level, no?
