Problems with Warcraft 3-installation

Have you ever encountered this error?



I just picked up WC3 + Frozen throne, and after having installed both games, run WC3 and updated its version, I can no longer run the game. Whenever I try, I get the error pictured above. (Both WC3 and FT produce this error).

Any idea what the hell happened? These games are brand new, and there is nothing wrong with my computer (that I know of anyway), so I suspect this must be a software glitch. The game ran fine before I patched it.

What can I do?

Edit: I reinstalled WC3 without patching it this time. Now it works... strange.

Never patch out of order. In this case, Newest WC patch >> Older FT clean install.
