Paladin Tanking Belts

Mostly I'm wondering about what pally tanking belt is better between Belt of the Guardian and Belt of the Protector. It is a tough decision for me. Block Value versus Dodge Rating kind of thing. These discussions usually involve the rest of a person's gear so I am going to list that off now. Some slots have multiple items listed since sometimes I use block value ones and sometimes I use spell damage ones.

Now I'm probably going to upgrade my boots to http://www.wowwiki.com/Sabatons_of_the_R...s_Defender before I end up getting either belt. I'll be putting http://www.wowwiki.com/Enchant_Boots_-_Fortitude on them as well. I also may get http://www.wowwiki.com/Figurine_-_Empyrean_Tortoise to replace the Pocket Watch, though I am not decided yet on if I should do that or get the belt. I'd love to get http://www.wowwiki.com/Figurine_-_Crimson_Serpent and wear two stamina trinkets. but I doubt I can manage that and stay uncrushable.

These are without the new boots or trinket since I don't have those as of yet. If I end up staying above uncrush like those values currently are then I might start switching gems out for pure stamina ones. If the Block Value belt is better then I might have to get the trinket to stay above uncrush. I've not worked out all of those details as of yet. Anyway...thoughts on which belt is better?

They're about equal.

Belt of the Guardian has more Effective Health (stamina, BV), but Girdle of the Protector has both avoidance and threat (more SPD, spellhit, dodge rating).

It won't make a huge difference either way. I'd get the Belt of the Guardian as a personal favorite because it has block value, and there is fun stuff you can pull off with huge #s of BV.

Reminds me of pre-TBC when the warrior shield block bug was in effect and this prot warrior posted a video of him soloing LBRS. The only problem was his shield would break before he got done.

Looking at those numbers makes me lean towards BV_BotG_SofRD_F-ET. It keeps me uncrushable and has the most block value of any of the options. Of course another option would be to take one of those other paths and then swap pure stamina gems in for any slots that aren't currently using them. I think the gains from that will be pretty small though since there are a good amount of stamina bonuses in there for using the right color. So I've gone ahead and had a BotG made and now am eyeing up the boots and the trinket.
