Kotick's gone (or will be by the end of the year).
Hopefully Microsoft can right the ship...

Therefore, everything is relatively uncertain.

Hi,
It is definitely a significant change with Kotick leaving. Hopefully under Microsoft leadership we will see some positive shifts and improvements at Activision Blizzard. Also that is a fun observation about the Sith Warriors! And I love the play on words with Einstein and Heisenberg theories puts a humorous spin on some deep scientific concepts.
Thanks

Roy's here doing his best to prove the Dead Internet Theory.

In regards to the DIT, what I have seen is most corporations (all the major players) have leveraged SEO searches by putting every single item and search term they can think of so when you search for a word, your query will get mostly results from corporate sponsors. I think to prove the DIT, you would have to develop a search engine that intentionally blocks all traffic from every known corporation domain, including Reddit, Quora, YouTube, etc., then perform your search and if nothing comes back, then I'd say the theory is correct and all webcrawlers are compromised. You may be able to also try this using the dark web, I'm not certain.

Well, I think it's more the sheer number of bots now that has caused most people to start avoiding the internet as a whole and end up going into their own little "islands" to avoid the bots.

I'd say that's one of the nice things about this little island here, right?
- Anyone posting here has been here basically forever, since long before bots were unleashed on the Internet.
- This site isn't remotely popular enough to warrant extensive bot activity, and bots like Roy above very obviously stand out. And I remove all the rest.

How often do you still have to remove bots? I recall during peak LL that we did get our fair share of them. I just wonder since this little watering hole is so obscure now.

We're still at a few a week, surprisingly - oh, and that's *with* the anti-bot tech built into the forum here to stop spammers. I have no idea why they'd bother coming here, but imagine what large commercial sites have to deal with...
