Need help installing open diablo editor 2

Hello all, 

Once again here trying to figure out how to get something to work for diablo 1. I wanted the open diablo editor 2 to mod the .exe files of mods to include no friendly fire. I know some purist see this as cheating and terrible but I hate it. I would like no friendly fire on the projectiles. I found out what I need to do to mod this in but I need the editor installed properly to open up the exe files. I have attempted my best to follow the github instructions but I have zero clue what to do. Can anyone else please help me with simple instructions and links on what to do to get it installed correctly?

Idk, but you could just use devilutionx (https://github.com/diasurgical). You can deactivate friendly fire there in the diablo.ini.

There is also Diablo+ (https://ericjrobinson.xyz/diabloplus/feature-list/). It changes a lot of things. Friendly fire can be disabled. You can probably get some help in this discord server (https://discord.gg/pRy8tdc). They are working on open diablo 2.
