Just thought I'd share. If this doesn't make you at least smile, then you're lost.

I love how he can play different notes on the same timpani.:)(I'm assuming he doesn't tune it for each note)

Not a musician, but: don't timpani have a pedal that allows them to play multiple notes?

They do, but it is rather unlikely that this was played on a single drum. It would be extremely difficult to make those fast switches without a noticeable pitch bend from the previous note which is still ringing (and not trivial to hit the right note close to being in tune for each of those different pitches). I've never played timpani with a full octave range on a single drum, but I guess the some of them are capable of that. More likely it was played on 3 drums or so.

Always good to see Beaker around. And Statler and Waldorf too. Reminds me of my Diablo characters and some crazy games with variant scum...

Edit: I love how he warms up by rubbing the mallets together before he starts playing!

<edit>
timpani can be tuned, but they're only capable of doing four or five different tones, and this is what's done with the pedals

What's with all the Muppets media recently?

Don't get me wrong, the Muppets were a staple of my youth. It's just strange to see so much new Muppetry recently.

(Statler and Waldorf were always my favorites)
