Blizzard have just announced their next big title, Overwatch.
And it looks awesome.
I'm excited for this; like
genuinely excited. I've been waiting for a game like this for years, since I stopped playing TF2 due to how Valve gutted the clean metagame for a million or so weapon sidegrades and the art style for a billion or so hats and special effects. If Blizzard stays away from the trap Valve made for themselves I can see myself playing this for a good long while.
The beta begins in 2015 (presumably in the spring) and you can apply at
http://playoverwatch.com.
So, thoughts?

Could use more bass drop. Looks like TF2 done by Blizzard. Some people will gnash their teeth over that. Some will drool with anticipation.

The security guard playing Hearthstone on his tablet was objectively the best part of that cinematic.

That was a nice touch yes. I like Widowmaker's NV goggles.

TF2 done by Blizzard has my curiosity. WoW done by Valve would have my attention.
