-26 C right now for me.
However, I have a secret weapon. I'm moving to Wollongong in about 6 weeks. I'm escaping winter!

I have 6 foot snowbanks beside my driveway, and my back aches. Good thing I have some Christmas beer to ease the pain.

*pitpats DeeBye's back*
I only have 4 foot snowbanks. At least I can still heave snow that high.
As to pain easement:
Santa sub-contracted the 'big present for everyone from everyone' to Sears, who promised to deliver on Christmas Eve (morning). When I finally finished shovelling the heavy white stuff that fell the previous night so that the delivery truck could get to my door, I came back in to find a message stating that it had not arrived at their Toronto warehouse, so it was not going to be delivered. <_<
At least the boys are old enough to be (somewhat) understanding about the frailty of sub-contractors versus the infallibility of magical beings. B) But it was to be a massage chair, which we all really did want to use the minute it arrived at the door, due to all the snow shovelling... :o

And by we all we mean Mom.:D
In Corpus Christi, we had 5 knots of wind, clear blue skies, 73 degrees F (around 24 C). It was a glorious day. Santa left me a case of Budweiser in a wooden crate, collecter's item since is says AB St Louis, rather than Belguim. Mrs Occhi gave me two smoke detectors to put up. So I did. I gave her olive wood carved hands, like the Durer praying hands of fame, from the Holy Land (Palestinian Christians do this every year to make dough, and Americans lap them up). She was surprised. We got our son an Ipod Nano. No further comment on that. My father in law got a few lucid moments. His wife's present was a few weeks ago, when the Doctor partially confirmed Alzheimers. (How is that, a partial confirm? Maybe my M In Law didn't explain it all that well. ) All in all, things are well, to include my wife's grand niece who thinks she's Hanna Montana now that she has a toy guitar. She's six. Christmas is still magical for some folks, which is OK.
Today, on Boxing day, I was able, with Shadow's help early on, and Dr Disaster's help later, get Caw-Caw to 72. No rush, but, uh, yeah, it was a bit of a rush. :w00t:
Merry Christmas, Shadow, you are ready to go.:)
