I have a barb on USWest realms (hardcore) LoD who has only beat baal in normal. When he looks at the list of games he should see NM games, right? I know this is the way it used to be, has it changed? I'm asking because this morning he could only see hell level games. If I tried to join any of these games I was told that I had to beat NM first. Am I just lucky? Well, I guess unlucky.

Something is messed up with the wests displaying of games to join (SC or HC). If a normal character has defeated Diablo then they will only see NM games to join, but will not be allowed unless they have defeated Baal. If the character is at nightmare level then they will only see hell games. At some point in the progression though the NM quests, they will then be able to join these hell games (one of my characters has only finshed A3 NM and can join the hell games). For HC characters, be careful of what game you actually do enter.
