an interesting thing about quest items

I was helping my friend do anya in hell and when they came up to get the thawing potion I talked to anya at virtually the same moment, and I; who and already done the quest; was given the potion. Now this is on realm so I didn't care to experiment with the scroll (that'd be blatant cheating, but who knows if it'd work anyways) at the time. If someone can explain this or whatever, I'd like to know!

This is typical that the first person who talks to Malah gets the potion. No it doesn't work with the scroll. Or orb would be pretty useless in duels since nobody would mind "stealing" scrolls and boosting their resists (before cap which is what CM affects) to ubsurd numbers.

I was actually about to post that after a few more times doing the quest I figured whoever talked to her first got the potion :)
