Go download the "Legends" song from there. I do believe it's their best musical work to date. Superb.

The only thing I question is at the very end. It sounds like the chorus is singing a, well, naughty word. Anyone else with me? What are they saying?

I didn't hear a bad word in the end. Pretty good stuff, though. :)

Well, that wasn't bad at all.

I didn't even notice a chorus was even there. But that just goes to show how deaf I am :/

I'm with ya Bolty ;) That did indeed sound like a long drawn out "a**hole" (if this is the naughty word to which you are referring... if not, hmm, I suppose there is at least two dirty Lurkers here :) ).

As to what they're actually trying to say... Probably nothing, just an attempt to sound like a group of Benedictine monks I imagine.

Or maybe we have another "hidden-pornogrpahy-in-The-Lion-King" fiasco on our hands here ;)

I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry rot. I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.

I agree that it is very good, but I don't her anything bad at the end. Only listened to it twice, but I didn't hear anything bad, and I was even listening for it.

I even tried to hear what Kharohz thought it might be, and I didn't hear that either. More like a 'day ho' than anything else to me.

Hi,

An interesting "drums and guns" piece. Sounds like it should have come from one of Cecil B. Mille's spectaculars. About the time two hundred thousand extras dressed as legionaries storm out of Rome to engage the invading army of Goths :)

But chorus? I didn't really hear a chorus. Just something that *might* have been voices, might have been fx. Then, again, my hearing's not that great.

I've just downloaded the song, and listened to it a few times: twice through, and about eight more for the last few seconds.
Although it sounded like what Mithrandir said the first time around, after the second and third, it came more clear to me that it isn't the A-word at all.

Instead of an "ah" vowel, the chorus was singing an "eh" vowel -- they may sound the same, but in choral singing, the difference is like, well, mid-day and sunset. (I wouldn't go as far as day and night) The words were probably something along the lines of "esso", similar to the name of that petro company. As to what it means, I havn't got a clue. There may have been a consonant at the beginning, but if there is, I couldn't hear it over the drums, and the crescendo made it even harder to pick up.

Actually I listened again (and got the opinion of my wife who has much much better ears than I do), and it's an ats (as in thats) sound. Heck they might even be saying "That's all". This is Blizzard after all. :)

They could be saying Azeroth...?

Nor I, nor any man that is,
With nothing shall be pleased till he be eased
With being nothing.

Hm... That's probably it.
That would explain why I hear a slightly "eh" vowel instead of "ah".
It's probably pronounced that way.

Yeah, as in aze - roth rather than az - er - oth as I'd always interpreted it... Only Warcraft 1 for me so I've never actually heard it pronounced :) (if they actually say it in the others - I would imagine that they do)
