Definitely. The Lurkers with mythical creatures (do trouts count?) haunting their nightmares almost outnumber the people who want the poll to be disabled. Maybe that's why there are usually only two choices.

I think a forum for Polls would be the best thing.

No replies allowed, just voting and from that polls a serious thread could emerge in another forum.

Over on TTC, we have a separate forum for Polls and it works okay.

The kiddies seem to enjoy both voting and making new polls. Plus, the time that idiots spend voting in polls reduces the time they would be spamming the other forums. :)
