More than 1 jah would be pointless. Your ideal sockets would be

*shael/cham depending if you want speed or not. Cham freezes, so is pretty cool, allthough if you found one you would more likely socket an armour with it.

Baring in mind most people have none of these :P (including me), I'd only soc it if i was sure i was keeping it.

If you are keeping it, and for your beserk barb, I agree that 2 shaels and a good ed jewel are best. Good luck with your barb,

I mean, you don´t need so much stuff... You just get the Horadric Cube, a SoJ, a Ber Rune and three Prfect Skulls. Add a socket to the Shaftstop, and the rest is getting the uniques. You should be imune to fisical, at least (I guess you´d still be vunerable to magic attacks, as there are rings that give magic damage reduction, but Natural Resistance should do the trick).

immune to physical? If i recall correctly this is not true.

From what is left in the rear corner of my mind, -% Damage is treated as a special type of resistance and thus being caped at 75% (but not being reduced by difficulty level like other resists)

uh, "just" getting a Ber is near-impossible as-is, not to mention finding a dream set-up of uniques. What version of the game are you playing?
