What does +2 blinds target do?
#1
I've never thought to ask before. The attribute appears only on the Minotaur.

I imagine it's the equivalent of two blinds targets items or 2 surs, but what's that?
Great truths are worth repeating:

"It is better to live in the corner of a roof
Than in a house shared with a contentious woman." -Proverbs 21:9

I'm sure someone will give the formula soon. I think it was discussed recently in the AB, but that's not of much help now.

IIRC, it boils down to wanting a high clvl/mlvl ratio, with a bigger number after the plus sign giving a bonus to this. I think multiple sources do simply stack.

Several weapons, the Sur rune, Coif of Glory and Umbral Disk have just the normal +1.
Skull Splitter and Minotaur has +2.
Woestave has +3.
Passion has +10.
Silence has +33.

The formula was something like 50 + (clvl + bonus * 4 - mlvl ) * 5

^ Sounds sorta right.. lemmie guess at it:

chance = 50 + (AL - DL + (bonus * 4)) * 5

Actually that's what you said isn't it :)

Amazingly enough, the Arreat Summit actually has a formula, and it's this one :P

Chance = 50 + (Attacker Level + (Bonus * 4) - Defender Level) * 5

Where the bonus is how many items of hit blinds target the character has -1. Some items have something like hit blinds target +2, which means they count as 2 items for the bonus calculation. Missile Attacks are at 1/3 this chance.

The level of Dim Vision that's cast on the target is equal to (Chance - Roll)/5+1, max of 20.

This has to be one of the few times you can actually check the Arreat Summit for something technical :P
