Arggh - Diablo mention on prime time TV
#1
Ok, in order to make this post I have to admit to watching "Joan of Arcadia", but I think it is a halfway decent take on the teen angst genre of shows.

Did anyone else catch the reference to Diablo?

Older brother "What do you think about when you're alone?"

Younger brother "Getting past level 5 of Diablo"

Ooh - a second reference just now.

Second geek to younger brother "Diablo at Dave's?"

Hmmm....

"I reject your reality and substitute my own."
"You don't know how strong you can be until strong is the only option."
"Think deeply, speak gently, love much, laugh loudly, give freely, be kind."
"Talk, Laugh, Love."

It's a new TV series being shown on one of the God networks in the US. (God network: shows a lot of religious or "family-oriented" programming.) Basic plot of the show is that God (and His minions, I believe) appear to a teenage girl and their advice (or lack thereof) conduct her life and her choices. The girl's name is Joan, the town is Arcadia, hence the cute title.

A friend of mine is determined to tape all the episodes. I'll ask her about it when I'm more coherent.
UPDATE: Spamblaster.
