To think in 6 years of playing, the highest rune I've ever seen dropped (not from hellforge) was an Um rune (somebody picked it up immediately, it dropped from a hell baal game - probably from one of the bosses or minions in the 5 waves in the Throne room). And the highest rune I've ever picked up myself from the ground (ie. monster drop) was a single Pul rune (forgot from where). The highest rune I ever got from Hell countess runs must just be a Ko rune.:(
I use to play a lot back before 2004, and the highest rune I ever got was Ist from Hellforge. But in the last few months (since I started playing again), I've done much better. Two Ist runes and a Vex rune from drops, and I don't play nearly as much as I used to. Forge has given me two Mals also. I also found an Ohm, but can't remember if that was a drop or forge (does forge even drop Ohm?).
Cham... that's crazy lucky.
I took my first and only trip to uber trist a few weeks ago. Had two friends along to help (including barb with BO which really made a big difference) -- they kept the minions busy while my paladin chewed up the ubers. The combination of smite and Dracul's trivializes things. While I did drink a few rejuvs against Lilith, I didn't even pot against the rest. I did all the cheap tricks for Meph, Treachery swapped out for Smoke, 4 perf diamond shield, crushing blow gear. That setup is stupidly powerful against Diablo Clone too.
Haven't played since.
